According to google page speed and gtmetrix, Kunena 3.0.6 could be faster if follow this recommendations:

Defer parsing of JavaScript
Specify image dimensions
Combine images using CSS sprites

Please note that having a slow website means less pages impressions, wich means less revenue.

Really Google Page Speed and GTMetrix are recommendations and have a very small percentile impact compared to things such as meaningful content.
  • Defer parsing of JavaScript (Not really done, but Joomla does not really offer us an easy way to do this)
  • Specify image dimensions (Our image handling can be better, however we maintain the original dimensions of the images and then use CSS to set maximums. This does cause some calculation but it is an issue that does not have significant impact(.
  • Combine images using CSS sprites (We do this in a few places, however certain things like smiles or topic icons cannot be sprites as they are currently reference individually.

A slightly slower website loading will have no meaningful impact on page impressions. Revenue is dictated most importantly by your content, with very slight modifiers of things listed above.
