Question Change tabs to different languages

Hi,

We are creating a development site which we want to be in English/French/German and Italian.
We have installed all the relevant language packs and when we switch the language everything works fine except for the tabs which remain in English.

In the past we have translated these manually on each of the menu tabs and this works fine but now there are override files is it possible to use these to translate them instead.

Thanks

copy the kunenamenu 2x, so you have 3 kunena menu's. some for the forum item on mainmenu. Then add languages. Last thing change name on all items.

That was the way we used to do it - manually translate each tab into the relevant language on the Kunena menu.

Are the tabs text descriptions held in a language file?
If they are can we create overrides to translate these for our foreign language sites rather than on the menu.

Thanks

Are the tabs text descriptions held in a language file?

Yes, in "administrator/components/com_kunena/language/language_folder/xx-XX.com_kunena.install.ini".
But override does not work, since this file is used only during the installation (or if you restore the Kunena menu).
